like addictions, anger, vengefulness, jealousy etc. they make your life miserable in awake state as they control you from subconscious mind, and you can see them as demons in dream symbolism. similar to jungian “Shadow” these images are repressed parts of your psyche, you can be aware of them or not, but you can’t easily get rid of them, it would require a soul-searching and inner work.
